It is time to act and ensure that the rights of LGBTI+ people are respected and protected everywhere. Every day, people in this community face discrimination, violence, and exclusion, causing immense suffering, as well as suicides. Read more\u2026<\/a><\/span><\/span><\/p>

We have launched this signature-collection campaign to call on leaders around the world to implement urgent legislative changes and take concrete, effective action in the following areas:<\/p>

  1. Combating discrimination<\/strong>: laws that prohibit discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity in all areas, including employment, housing, the sale of goods and the provision of private services, public services, etc.<\/li><\/ol>
    1. Protection from violence<\/strong>: policies and programmes that prevent and punish violence based on sexual orientation and gender identity, with particular attention to hate crimes and hate speech.<\/li><\/ol>
      1. Inclusive education<\/strong>: educational programmes that promote diversity and respect from an early age, tackling bullying and negative stereotypes.<\/li><\/ol>
        1. Marriage equality and adoption<\/strong>: ensuring the right to marry and adopt for same-sex couples, guaranteeing equal rights and legal protection.<\/li><\/ol>
          1. Legal gender recognition<\/strong>: accessible, respectful procedures for the legal recognition of gender identity, without invasive medical requirements.<\/li><\/ol>
            1. Overall, ensure full equality <\/strong>of rights for the LGBTI+ community and its protection, including intersex bodily integrity and the right to asylum. This also includes public awareness campaigns. <\/li><\/ol>
