Specific issues

Not all people are the same, as each individual has a different present, past, and personality.

This means that we all sometimes have our own particular “specific issues” that affect our well-being.

For José, “specific issues” might include a situation of unemployment that causes discomfort and a histrionic personality; for María, they could be shyness, a complicated divorce she is going through, and chronic pain; and for Andrés, they might be an excessively competitive and perfectionist personality, work-related stress, and the burn-out syndrome (being burnt out).

These “specific issues” sometimes change over time, with some disappearing and others emerging. We all have had, have, or will have our “specific issues.”

Therefore, in addition to providing well-being training that is identical for everyone, it is also advisable to work on each person’s specific problems in a personalized way. However, this is an uncomfortable topic for everyone, which can lead us to deceive ourselves and believe that all of this “does not apply to us.”

But the advantages we gain from working on these “specific issues” far outweigh the discomfort suffered.
