And how would you feel if the only way to be free of all of it were the day you were loaded onto a truck to go to a slaughterhouse more crowded than the Jews were in the trains to Auschwitz?
The Jews were as distressed as the pigs and also went hungry and thirsty during those journeys in which they were given nothing to eat or drink, but at least they could sit and lie down on the floor of the train. By contrast, many pigs do not even have enough space to lie down and rest. In addition, unlike the Jews, they are thrown against the truck and suffer injuries.
And to all this must be added their suffering in the slaughterhouse.
The good news is that humans generally have an evil side (with great differences between individuals) but not entirely, as most of us have a part in our brain, specifically the dorsolateral prefrontal cortex, where our sense of justice resides. This tells us that harming others is wrong, unless it is in legitimate self-defense. One would have to be very psychopathic to not have that innate sense of ethics at all.

Nowadays it has become very easy, since much of it can be found in most supermarkets and the rest on Amazon.
Ah! And let us also take the example of California voters, who in a referendum approved Proposition 12 in 2018, which brings significant improvements for farm animals, such as ensuring that pigs have enough space to lie down, stand up, stretch their limbs, or turn around freely.
