BUILDING A BETTER WORLD! LEARN FROM THE BEST COUNTRIES

Let’s emulate countries with higher levels of well-being and the factors that contribute to it, with the following 10 being recognized by the Institute of Well-being:

  1. Finland

  2. Denmark

  3. Sweden

  4. Iceland

  5. Switzerland

  6. Norway

  7. Netherlands

  8. Luxembourg

  9. New Zealand

  10. Australia

The parameters we have chosen for this ranking are their level of subjective well-being (the score people give to their life satisfaction), as well as the factors that contribute to happiness, such as:

  • Per capita income.
  • Democratic quality and the rule of law that effectively combats abuses.
  • Quality of governance and low corruption.
  • Security and peace.
  • Health.
  • Culture of reasonable work, generation, entrepreneurship, investment, innovation, etc.
  • Social protection.
  • Work-life balance.

At the other end of the ranking of most/least civilized countries, we have:

  • Sub-Saharan Africa (with some honorable exceptions like Mauritius, Seychelles, and Gabon), highlighting Uganda, Eritrea, Somalia, Sudan, South Sudan, Ethiopia, and the Democratic Republic of Congo at the bottom of the list.
  • Communist and similar dictatorships, such as North Korea, China, Cuba, Nicaragua, and Venezuela.
  • Countries with a Muslim majority, starting with the most fundamentalist, dictatorial, conflict-ridden, and/or dysfunctional: Afghanistan, Yemen, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Gaza, Syria, and Lebanon.
  • Myanmar
  • Haiti
  • Commonwealth of Independent States, led by the Russian Federation and Belarus.
  • India

LET’S HELP THEM ADVANCE!

How? Here are 3 ideas:

1.-Sign these campaigns.

2.-Help the Institute of Well-being with money or time so that it can spread its work to as many people as possible in as many countries and languages as possible.

3.-Support other NGOs that promote:

  • Human rights, women’s rights, LGBTQ+ rights, etc.
  • Education.
  • That these highly deficient countries help themselves develop, through microcredits, promotion of entrepreneurship, improvement of agricultural productivity, etc. That is, NGOs that do not give fish (except in cases of famine) or even fishing rods, but rather encourage them to build the latter themselves and use it correctly.
  • Healthcare.

Thank you for doing something to achieve the happiest world possible.
