LET'S BUILD A BETTER WORLD!: STRIVE FOR EXCELLENCE TO ACHIEVE IT

Unfortunately, the world is plagued by many abuses, dysfunctions, and various forms of suffering and discomfort, which we all experience at specific times in our lives or chronically. We have made significant improvements in recent centuries, but there is still a long way to go. And precisely what drives us to progress is the pursuit of excellence.

Complacency and laxity lead to paralysis, maintaining the current deficient state of affairs. In contrast, the desire for continuous improvement drives us to push forward and make the necessary advancements to achieve a world with the maximum justice and happiness. Indifference and lack of interest lead to mediocrity, while the motivation to contribute to a better world to live in helps us achieve it.

Extreme conservatism that resists change leads to stagnation, even to a stagnant pool of water that doesn’t flow and is therefore full of insects and algae, which stinks and would poison us if we drank it. On the contrary, the enthusiasm for improvement leads us to a beautiful lake of crystal-clear, pure waters. Because it drives us to make the necessary reforms to achieve a society with the minimum of abuses and the maximum of well-being.

Read “LET US LIVE WITHOUT HARMING!” Let us be conservative with what is good and progressive with what is harmful

Narcissism makes us think that we are already good and cool enough and therefore do not need to evolve. In contrast, a critical and reasonably demanding spirit provides us with the fuel to strive to be good people who do not harm others, good professionals, and good citizens, which translates into a world that functions better.

LIVE WITHOUT HARMING: Let’s avoid the perverse narcissism we all possess

We tend to act out of inertia, to do things as we have always done them, remaining idle with a passive and apathetic attitude. We often dread change, especially if it involves some kind of effort, sacrifice, or inconvenience. But if we hadn’t made reforms, we would still be living in the Middle Ages or even in more archaic and cruel societies, like that of the Assyrians, where impalements, flayings (removing the skin), and disembowelments while alive were common.

If the semi-dung heap we have lived in since the Neolithic has been partially cleaned up, it is thanks to nonconformist, rebellious people with a sense of justice and a drive to improve things. Because ultimately, there are the mediocre and those oriented towards excellence, those who tend to let everything remain equally bad and those who drive improvements. Which of the two groups do you want to be in?

HOW TO LIVE WITHOUT HARMING? Let’s reform society to improve it

We are still in a cultural war between two sides: those who fight to maintain abuses and those who fight to abolish them and achieve a happier world for all. It is a struggle between two armies: that of the wicked who cling to a cruel status quo and the good who desire a just order, that of the petty focused on their selfish interests and that of noble people focused on respecting the rights and freedoms of each individual. All of this to varying degrees and with intermediate categories.

FOR A WORLD WITHOUT HARM: Let’s be good people

THE ART OF LIVING WITHOUT HARMING: Let’s be just

THE REVOLUTION OF LIVING WITHOUT HARMING:

Let’s enjoy positive egoism and avoid negative egoism

LET US LIVE WITHOUT HARM! Let us respect others’ freedom

Fortunately, in this struggle between good and evil, the latter has been gaining ground on the former since the 18th century. It has not done so linearly, but sometimes taking one step back and then two steps forward.

LET’S NOT STOP HERE!

Let’s continue walking with perseverance to the summit. Let’s leave a planet better than we found it, even much better. Moreover, let’s seek excellence in all aspects: moral, social, economic, political,
aesthetic, urban planning, etc.

LET’S BE NONCONFORMIST AND AMBITIOUS! EMBRACE IMPROVEMENT!

If you believe that spreading this message can contribute to achieving a more perfect world, I encourage you to be bold and do it.
