When the perpetrator does not have sufficient income or assets to fully compensate within a reasonable period (for example, about 15 years, depending on the victim’s age), the fair approach is for them to do so through work hours, both on weekdays and, if necessary, during weekends. If the damage is so extensive that it cannot be fully redressed, it is just for them to spend their entire life dedicating hours to compensate for the harm.
These work hours can be performed directly for the victim or for public administrations or companies that have an agreement with the Ministry of Justice, so that the remuneration from this work is used to pay the compensation to the injured party. No specific qualifications are necessary, as work can be done in agriculture, industry, mining, call centers, laundries, infrastructure construction (as prisoners do in the United States), or sewing garments (similarly in Russia).
It could happen that the abuser attempts to escape the country to avoid reparation, so it is advisable to take the necessary measures to prevent this, such as confiscating their passport and implementing an effective geolocation system. It is fair to take all necessary steps to ensure that the harm does not go unredressed.
It may also happen that the abuser tries to shirk work, in which case it is equitable for them to work more hours until they achieve productivity or even be interned in a prison, where they work to pay for both the reparation and the cost of their upkeep in said facility. Should they continue to refuse to work, their period of internment can be gradually increased. If this does not produce the desired effect, comforts can be gradually removed, and if they do not amend, even their food ration can be reduced until they react. Again, it is just to take all necessary measures to ensure that the harm does not go unrepaired.
