The non-consensual squatting of a property is a type of theft that causes the owner both economic and moral damages, which are sometimes very significant.
So much so that it leads some owners to lose their own home. There are even cases of elderly ladies who go out to do the shopping and, when they return, can no longer enter their house. In other words, they are literally left out on the street, and in a matter of seconds their lives are cut short like a river that suddenly plunges over a waterfall. That happened to the mother of an acquaintance of mine in Barcelona, and she had to go and live in her son’s apartment in Andorra, where she died several years after the squatting. She was never able to set foot in her home again after it was taken from her.
A potentially disastrous consequence for the owner is economic ruin, especially when they have a mortgage. The reason is that, if their income is limited, the numbers do not add up and they cannot pay the loan, in addition to the utilities and other property expenses and the cost of a new home to live in. To make ends meet, some have to work multiple jobs, others sleep in their cars, and the more fortunate move back in with their parents, etc. All of this causes not only great economic damage but also emotional harm, frequently resulting in depression, anxiety, stress and other mental health issues.
Another very frustrating scenario is that of older people who invested in a property with savings earned through lifelong sacrifice so they could enjoy a more comfortable retirement, but when it is squatted they lose their source of income. Suddenly, their legitimate dreams and life aspirations collapse like a building demolished with explosives.
Squatting is often accompanied by theft and destruction. All of the above remains unpunished in some countries, such as Spain, where there is a regulatory framework that protects the usurper and punishes the honest owner. This is an authentic outrage against innocent people sponsored by far-left ideologies that corrupt society like a moth that slowly eats away at wood, promoting a parasitic culture instead of a culture of generation, work and honesty.
Do not ignore today’s far-left threat
This is so much the case that, if victims do to their victimisers what the latter did to them—reoccupying their own property—that is a crime punishable by imprisonment. And if the owner stops paying for electricity and water, they can also go to prison.
It is a world turned upside down, a grotesque order in which the State protects abusers and oppresses the abused, which is absolutely unfair and unacceptable. If we want to put an end to these outrages, what we can do is:
1. Sign this campaign against squatting… SIGN NOW!…
2. Vote for parties committed to fighting squatting.
3. Create a system that allows for the reparation of all damages caused, to the point that the victim is compensated for having been wronged… read more…
4. If you know a squatter, persuade them to work and pay their rent.
5. Spread the culture of honesty, the honest generation of wealth, and consideration for others.
6. Educate children and teenagers in the ethics of kindness, respect, and justice.
7. Share these types of messages.
LET US SET SOCIETY RIGHT! Let us do something against the scourge of squatting and all kinds of abuse, to help build a society that is not sick but healthy, even if it is only a very small contribution.
Thank you,
