REPAIR THE DAMAGE! RELIGIOUS ORGANIZATIONS AS WELL

REPAIR AND HONOR THE VICTIMS OF CHRISTIANITY

Some religions have caused enormous suffering to innocent people, on a large scale, throughout history.

Therefore, it is only just that they pick up the trowel and cement to repair all the holes they have left in the walls of that great building called humanity. This is done by providing sufficient compensation and honoring all victimized groups, in a similar way to what Germany has done for the Jews after the Second World War and up to the present day. They can do so in the following ways:

1. By creating memorials and museums dedicated to remembering the horrors committed and preventing them from happening again. And likewise, by visibly condemning in those memorials those atrocities and the religious doctrines on which they were based.

2. By carrying out this disapproval and awareness-raising against the violation of human rights preached by religious texts (such as the harmful verses of the Bible or the Quran) in religious education classes, in a similar way to what the German education system does with Nazism.

3. By compensating those who were abused and are still alive, and their heirs, such as homosexuals who have been victims of imprisonment and mistreatment as a consequence of laws promoted and sermons delivered by members of the clergy.

4. By providing redress to victims of past times through cooperation with associations that defend the rights of these groups, such as LGTBI, feminist, animal rights, anti-child-abuse organizations, etc.

NOTABLE CHRISTIAN CRIMINALS OF THE PAST

Likewise, to cleanse these crimes it is necessary to stop regarding as examples to follow all religious leaders and other relevant figures (including Popes, Church Fathers, saints, rabbis, imams, and priests) who committed them, whether as perpetrators or accomplices, or who defended the violation of human rights. It is only just to disavow them and even condemn them through official statements and in the aforementioned memorials.

As for the statues that exist to honor those criminals, the just thing is to remove them or, preferably, keep them but add a sufficiently large and clear sign next to them explaining the crimes they committed and that they are condemned for them.

Thank you for sharing so that justice may be done,
