LIVE WITHOUT HARMING

LIVE WITHOUT HARMING is a non-profit initiative driven by the Institute of Well-being.

We strive to convince people to apply a simple idea: DO NOT CAUSE SUFFERING OR HARM TO OTHERS, whether they are men or women, old or young, straight or LGBTQI+, of one race or another, human or non-human – it doesn’t matter! The only exception is legitimate self-defense, for oneself and others, always against the aggressor and never against innocents. That is, live and let live. To achieve this, we disseminate messages on social media, in the media, by word of mouth, and through any other means.

We start with one bad and one good piece of news

The bad news

We are a hyper-predatory species, by nature programmed to cause harm to others on certain occasions when it benefits us, or even sometimes without any benefit. And we do this not only to non-human animals but also to humans. In fact, no other species causes the level of cruelty and atrocities seen in humankind.

The good news

We can correct this, as we are not solely determined by our harmful genetics, but also influenced by education, messages we receive from outside, and our inner sense of justice and capacity to reason, which allow us to discern what is just and what is abusive.

Therefore, at the Institute of Well-being, we are committed to tirelessly disseminating the following Decalogue of Kindness, as well as other messages and articles, so that they reach every corner of the Earth.
